WWP extends SPOAC Partnership through 2021

The agency WWP Weirather – Wenzel & Partner has already extended its contract as a partner of "SPOAC – Sports Business Academy by WHU" by another two years from 2019 to end 2021.

The independent sports marketing firm WWP has been active in the sports business since 1987. With nearly 80 sports and communications experts at eight locations around the world, it supports major brands, advises companies in the development and evaluation of sponsoring strategies, and opens doors to decision makers in the field of sports and business. WWP is well-known for its successful set-up and expansion of sports platforms like the Hahnenkamm Race in Kitzbühel, the Drone Champions League and Reachbird Sports.

"Over the last three years, SPOAC has successfully established a position as a premium training institution for future managers in the sports business. Externally, this has allowed us to increase our brand recognition sustainably in the German-speaking sports business, while internally we profit by using SPOAC as an essential training platform for our employees. As a partner from the start, we feel it's a logical and, for us, quite valuable step to promote further the ongoing internationalization of SPOAC. We definitely want to continue following this exciting development as a partner and to create a reliable basis for midterm planning at this early stage, which is why we have decided ahead of time to extend our support", the co-CEOs of WWP Mirjam Hummel and Philipp Radel share in explanation of their decision to extend the partnership.

"We're extremely pleased that, in addition to being our very first partner, WWP is now the first partner to extend its collaboration for the long term. That's an extremely important sign for us that we here at SPOAC are creating real added value for our partners. We also think it's quite remarkable how actively WWP is engaged in the partnership. For example, WWP invited our GMP class to the Hahnenkamm Race it organized in Kitzbühel and, while we were there, they gave us an exclusive look behind the curtain during the intensive set-up and execution stages. That was more than a financial investment by WWP; it was a considerable investment of their time and we're very appreciative", Philipp Klotz, CEO and co-editor of SPONSORs relates.
