Erwin Groenendijk wins Full-Scholarship

Clare Dinsdale and Pablo Cutropía Larrea win Half-Scholarship

After graduating from Cape Town University (South Africa) in English Literature and Psychology, Clare Dinsdale has lived and worked in five different countries on three different continents and built up a very international professional work-experience. Being employed as an Account Assistant at ASDA - one of the leading retail companies - Clare could be seen as a lateral entrant to sports. However the 30 year-old south african gained a lot of expert knowledge at various volunteer engagements at FIFA Worldcups and UEFA European championship turnaments around the world.

Her ambitious goal to get hold of a leadership position in sports and to professionalize the sports business market in her home country, South Africa, convinced the selection committee and saved Clare a scholarship worth 12.500€ to make her dream come true.

"The quality of the programme, my classmates, the industry professionals, combined with the 5 sporting events that I will be taken to, will form the starting point for my career. I will hit the ground running, and maximise every opportunity I am offered, because I know it is a once in a lifetime opportunity", says Clare.

A solid foundation of experience in the sports business industry however, can be found at the second half-scholar. Pablo Cutropía Larrea is working as a Product Manager at 380 Around Marketing, an international sports marketing agency in Madrid (Spain), for two years now. At 380, Pablo is responsible for the social-media content planing and creation for international sports stars like Iker Casillas among others or for planning and implementing the Futsal Intercontinental Cup, that took place in Doha (Qatar) in 2016.

Before he switched to the agency scene, Pablo was employed as a Marketing Assistant at Santander Bank, where he cordinated global sponsorships. At that time, he decided to deepen his knowledge in sports management which lead him to the decision to do his masters degree in "Sports Marketing Management" at the renowned ESIC Business & Marketing School in Madrid. About his latest decision to join the "Class of 2018" at SPOAC Pablo says:
It is a challenge that I want to accomplished in the sport business area and I think SPOAC is one of the best places to get it done because of three reasons:
1. The bet of the academy in the Sports Business
2. The idea of having professional students all over the world offering an amazing program
3. The strong bet in digitalization
